Our football match prediction:
Bramall Lane will host Saturday’s football game between Sheffield United and Ipswich Town. The Blades have been producing terrific showings in the Championship this season and they sit in third position in the standings ahead of the visit of Ipswich Town. Chris Wilder’s men suffered a bit upsetting defeat to Nottingham Forest before the international break and, no doubt, they are eager to start a new winning run in the Championship. Over the years Sheffield United have turned their Bramall Lane into a real fortress and they are eyeing their fifth home win of the season. Their next rivals Ipswich Town have been struggling at the back of late and we predict that the Tractor Boys will return home empty-handed. It has to be noted that Mick McCarthy’s troops conceded ten goals in previous three league fixtures and that is the main reason why home win should be considered.
Highligted Player (Simon Moore):
Simon Moore is an English goalkeeper who plays for Sheffield United in the Championship. Moore began his career at Brading Town and, after playing 49 games in the league for the club, he moved to Farnborough in 2008. However, due to the lack of first-team football, Simon Moore left the club at the end of the season, with the 191-cm-tall shoot-stopper signing a contract with Brentford. The English goalkeeper, who was born in Sandown on May 19, 1990, made his debut for the Bees in May, 2010 against Hartlepool United, coming as a substitute for first-choice goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny. After ending his loan spell with Basingstoke Town in January 2011, he moved to Cardiff City and it has to be noted that he made 17 appearances for the Welsh outfit. In the summer of 2016 he signed a deal with Sheffield United for a fee of around £500,000 and he did remarkably well to keep 17 clean sheets in the 2016/2017 League One campaign. The Blades finished the season in top position in the standings and, no doubt, Simon Moore’s brilliant saves helped the club secure promotion to the English second tier.
Highlighted Team (Ipswich Town):
Ipswich Town are an English football club that was formed in 1878. Portman Road has been the home ground of Ipswich Town since 1894 and the capacity of the venue, which was expanded in 2002, is 30,311. The Tractor Boys compete in the Championship, but they used to play in the English Premier League in the past as well. Ipswich Town last appeared in the elite division in the 2001/2002 season. Ipswich won the FA Cup in 1978, with the team beating Arsenal (1-0) in the title game. However, the club’s biggest success came in 1981 when they outplayed AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Cup final. It has to be noted that the Tractor Boys have yet to suffer a loss at home ground in the European competitions. Norwich City are regarded as Ipswich Town’s bitterest rivals and it is well known that the two sides take on each other in the East Anglian derby.
