Our prediction for this Championship match:
Wednesday’s football game at the Hawthorns pits together WBA and Derby County. West Bromwich Albion aim to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Wigan Athletic and a victory over Derby should see them regain their place in top-two. The Baggies have been impressive at home ground in the 2018/2019 season and it is no surprise they are seen as hot favourites to win the midweek fixture. West Brom outclassed Reading 4-1 in their last home game in the English second tier, with is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. Frank Lampard’s charges defeated Sheffield United 2-1 at the weekend, with the team putting an end to their three-match winless run. Anyhow, seeing that the Rams are not considered good travelers, we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling WBA’s party at the Hawthorns.

Highlighted Player (Sam Johnstone):

Sam Johnstone is an English goalkeeper who plays for West Bromwich Albion in the Championship. Sam Johnstone was born in Preston on March 25, 1993, but he began his youth career at Manchester United. However, despite being a Manchester United player, Johnstone did not see any game action with the Red Devils at senior level.
After spending seven years on loan at Oldam Athletic, Scunthorpe United, Walsall, Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Preston and Aston Villa, Sam Johnstone signed a four-year contract with West Bromwich Albion for a fee of around £6.5 million. The 193-cm tall shot-stopper wears No. 1 jersey and he has already established himself as a first-team regular at the Hawthorns outfit.
Sam Johnstone represented England at youth level, playing for England U16, U17, U19 and U20 teams, but he has yet to make his debut with the senior team. Sam Johnstone’s preferred foot is right and his contract with West Bromwich Albion should expire on June 30, 2022.
Highlighted Team (Derby County):

Derby County is one of the 12 founder members of the Football League. However, nowadays the Rams compete in the Championship and they play their home matches at Pride Park Stadium. Derby County have won the two trophies in the English top flight (1971/1972, 1974/1975), with the team lifting the FA Cup trophy just after the World War II (1946).
Derby’s main rivals are Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Leeds United, but the rivalry between Forest and Derby is regarded as the biggest one.
The two teams take on each other in the East Midlands derby. The colour of Derby’s shirts is white, whilst their shorts are black. It has to be noted that the club was founded in 1884 by William Morley. The Rams competed in the European competitions four times, but they did not record a notable result in the European Cups. The club’s chairman is Mel Morris.
