Our football match prediction:
Having defeated the likes of Southampton and Hull City in previous two league games, West Bromwich Albion will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they square off against Derby County at the Hawthorns in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. The Baggies are brimming with confidence ahead of the visit of Steve McClaren’s troops and we predict that they will extend their winning run to three games. The Rams were in a splendid form in December, but the team suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Norwich City in their first game of the new year and that is the main reason why away win should not be considered. It is well known that WBA are a real force to be reckoned with at home and the Premier League team are likely to emerge triumphant in Saturday’s football match. Winger Matt Phillips is enjoying a season to remember and he is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
Highlighted Player (Saido Berahino):
Saido Berahino was born on 4 August, 1993 in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi. He began his senior career at West Bromwich Albion at age 17, but in the 2011/2012 he was sent on loan to Northampton Town. After ending his loan spells with Brentford and Peterborough United in 2012, the right-footed attacker returned to the Hawthorns. Berahino impressed in the 2014/2015 Premier League campaign, with the English striker scoring 14 goals in 38 appearances for the team. At the end of the season he was on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur, but he eventually stayed at the Hawthorns. Berahino has yet to make his England debut, but he scored ten goals in 11 appearances for England U21 team. It is well known that Berahino is a Manchester United fan. In 2015 he founded his own charity foundation which helps disadvantaged people in Great Britain improve the quality of their lives.
Highlighted Team (Derby County):
Derby County are one of the 12 founder members of the Football League. However, nowadays the Rams compete in the Championship and they play their home matches at Pride Park Stadium. Derby County have won the two trophies in the English top flight (1971/1972, 1974/1975), with the team lifting the FA Cup trophy just after the World War II (1946). Derby’s main rivals are Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Leeds United, but the rivalry between Forest and Derby is regarded as the biggest one. The two teams take on each other in the East Midlands derby. The colour of Derby’s shirts is white, whilst their shorts are black. It has to be noted that the club was founded in 1884 by William Morley. The Rams competed in the European competitions four times, but they did not record a notable result in the European Cups. The club’s chairman is Mel Morris.
