Our prediction for this Championship match:
WBA will be aiming to bounce back from a loss to Sheffield Wednesday when they host Reading at the Hawthorns on day 12 of the new Championship campaign. The Baggies are eager to get back on course and the fact that they are on a four-match winning run at home is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Reading. The Royals, on the other hand, suffered a 1-0 loss to Queens Park Rangers at their Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening and, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from the West Brom clash. Reading did well to hold Brentford to a 2-2 draw in their last away game in the English second tier, but seeing that West Bromwich Albion are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts.

Highlighted Player (Sam Johnstone):

Sam Johnstone is an English goalkeeper who plays for West Bromwich Albion in the Championship. Sam Johnstone was born in Preston on March 25, 1993, but he began his youth career at Manchester United. However, despite being a Manchester United player, Johnstone did not see any game action with the Red Devils at senior level.
After spending seven years on loan at Oldam Athletic, Scunthorpe United, Walsall, Yeovil Town, Doncaster Rovers, Preston and Aston Villa, Sam Johnstone signed a four-year contract with West Bromwich Albion for a fee of around £6.5 million. The 193-cm tall shot-stopper wears No. 1 jersey and he has already established himself as a first-team regular at the Hawthorns outfit.
Sam Johnstone represented England at youth level, playing for England U16, U17, U19 and U20 teams, but he has yet to make his debut with the senior team. Sam Johnstone’s preferred foot is right and his contract with West Bromwich Albion should expire on June 30, 2022.
Highlighted Team (Reading):

Reading FC is a professional football club that play in the Championship. The club was formed in 1871 and Madejski Stadium has been the home of Reading since 1998. The Royals used to play their home games at Elm Park in the past (1896 - 1998). Reading made it to the FA Cup semi-finals on two occasions (1927, 2015), but they have yet to win the prestigious trophy.
The likes of Robin Friday, Trevor Senior, Steve Death, Shaka Hislop, Phil Parkinson, Alf Messer, Jimmy Quinn, Michael Gilkes, Ronnie Blackman, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Martin Hicks are some of their more notable footballers. Aldershot Town were considered Reading’s fiercest rivals, but the Shots went out of business in 1992.
Seeing that Aldershot rejoined the league in 2008 it remains to be seen if the rivalry is going to be re-established in near future. Swindon Town and Oxford United are considered Reading’s big rivals as well.
