Our prediction for this Championship match:
After dropping two points in a 2-2 draw with Barnsley, WBA will be looking to return to winning ways in the Championship when they host Charlton Athletic at the Hawthorns on Matchday 14. The Baggies scored 2+ goals in each of their previous four home games in the league and that is certainly giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of the capital club.
The Red Robins have been having their ups and downs in the Championship of late, but they produced a thrilling performance in a 3-0 win over Derby County in midweek. However, since they have been struggling on the travels in recent weeks, we do not believe that Lee Bowyer’s men are capable of spoiling WBA’s party at the Hawthorns. In their last meeting in West Bromwich in the English second tier WBA outplayed Charlton 4-2.

Highlighted Team (Charlton):

Charlton Athletic are yet another capital club that will compete in the 2019/2020 Championship season. Founded back in 1905, the Red Robins welcome their opponents at the Valley, the stadium which can hold up to 28,111 spectators. Charlton Athletic wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil, whereas black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Winning of the 1946/1947 FA Cup trophy is considered the club’s biggest success. The Red Robins defeated Burnley 1-0 in the title game, with Chris Duffy scoring the winner for Jimmy Seed’s charges in extra-time.
Fellow capital clubs Crystal Palace and Millwall are regarded as Charlton’s fiercest rivals, whilst Samuel Bartram, who made 579 appearances for the club is one of the most famous footballers who played for the Valley outfit.
