Our prediction for this Championship match:
Wigan Athletic and Bristol City face each other at the DW Stadium in the opening match of day 9 of the new Championship campaign. The Latics aim to build on a 2-1 win over Hull City which saw them climb to the eighth place in the standings, whereas the Robins are eager to regain place in top six. Wigan Athletic have been producing fine performances on their return to the English second tier, especially in front of home fans and you should bear in mind that they have yet to suffer a loss at their DW Stadium in the 2018/2019 season. Bristol City suffered a heavy 4-2 loss to WBA in midweek and, no doubt, they are determined to get back on course. Seeing that both teams are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Friday’s football match, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both sides to score.

Highlighted Player (Callum McManaman):

A Merseyside-born winger, Callum McManaman made his first football steps over at Goodison before getting released by Everton in 2007. As a youth player he moved on to join Wigan Athletic where he was handed his professional debut in 2009.
McManaman made an instant impression at his club earning a man of the Match title in the FA Cup final against Manchester City in 2013. Having led his club to their first-ever FA Cup title, McManaman went on to amass 109 appearances for Wigan across all competitions and score 17 goals.
A two-year stint at West Bromwich Albion turned into a proper disappointment for Callum McManaman who also went on to represent Sheffield Wednesday in a brief loan spell and played the total of 24 matches for Sunderland in the 2017/18 season. Wigan Athletic re-signed the winger in the summer of 2018 hoping to latch on a special connection the player has with the club and the fans.
Highlighted Team (Bristol City):

Bristol City are one of the two famous clubs from the city of Bristol. Formed in 1894 the Robins mostly participated in English lower leagues and they have never played in the Premier League. Bristol City’s bitterest rivals are Bristol Rovers and it has to be noted that two teams first met in 1897. Bristol City have outplayed their local rivals on 43 occasions in the Bristol Derby.
Cardiff City are regarded as Bristol City’s bitter rivals as well. The Robins play their home games at Ashton Gate, the stadium that was opened in 1887. Bristol City were semi-finalists of the League Cup two times (1970/1971, 1988/1989), with the team making it to the FA Cup final in 1909.
The Robins faced Manchester United in the title game, but they failed to upset the English giants in the Crystal Palace clash. It is well known that Bristol City footballers wear red shirts and blue shorts.
