Our football match prediction:
Anderlecht will be aiming to make amends for back-to-back defeats to Paris Saint Germain when they take on Bayern Munich at Stade Constant Vanden Stock on Wednesday evening. The Belgian champions are after their first win of the process, but seeing that they have been struggling at the back in the elite competition so far this term, home win should not be considered. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, are determined to overtake PSG in top position in Group B and we predict that the Bundesliga giants are going to leave their hearts on the field in Wednesday’s football match. The mighty Bavarians outplayed Anderlecht (3-0) at Allianz Arena in their opener and we believe that they are going to record yet another victory over the Belgian outfit. Robert Lewandowski has overcome his minor injury and the Polish attacker is likely to lead the line for the visitors against Hein Vanhaezebrouck’s troops.
Highlighted Player (Kara Mbodji):
Kara Mbodji is a Senegalese footballer who plays for Belgian side Anderlecht as a defender. Mbodji played for the likes of Tromso and Genk in the past before joining Anderlecht on 7 August, 2015. The Senegalese defender signed a four-year deal with the Belgian outfit for a fee of €4.5 million and it has to be noted that he made 32 league appearances for the club in the 2015/2016 season. His main position is centre back, but he is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well. The 192-cm-tall footballer represented Senegal at the 2012 Summer Olympics and he participated at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations as well. He found the net in a 1-1 draw with South Africa in the second group game. Kara Mbodji was born in Ndiass on 11 November, 1989 and he played for Diambars during his youth career. In 2013 he won the Belgian Cup title with Genk.
Highlighted Team (Bayern Munich):
Over the years Bayern Munich have established themselves as one of the most successful European clubs. The Stern des Sudens (Star of the South) are the dominant force in German football and it has to be noted that the Bavarians clinched their 26th Bundesliga title in 2016. Bayern Munich have won 18 German Cup trophies, while winning the Champions League (European Cup) five times. The German giants clinched the Intercontinental Cup in 1976 and 2001, while lifting the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in 2013. Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 by eleven football players and their leader was Franz John. The Bavarians host their rivals at Allianz Arena (75,000), the stadium that was built in 2005. Fellow Bavarian sides TSV 1860 Munchen 1860 and Nurnberg are regarded as Bayern Munich’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern is big as well. The likes of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Muller and Giovane Elber are famous footballers who played for Bayern Munich in the past.
