Our football match prediction:
Arsenal fans believe in miracles, but overcome a four-goal deficit in the tie against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich is easier said than done. The Gunners were crushed by Carlo Ancelotti’s troops at Allianz Arena (1-5) and, as a result, they have slim chances of making it to the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Anyhow, Arsenal’s pride will be at stake in Tuesday’s football match and we predict that the Premier League outfit will leave their hearts on the field in the return leg. Bayern Munich are with one foot in the next round, but they are likely to adopt a cautious approach in the Emirates Stadium clash. In their last meeting in London Arsene Wenger’s charges outplayed the Bavarians, but seeing that the English club head into the match with the lack of confidence, home win should not be considered. Bayern Munich have been in a thrilling form of late and away win appears on the horizon.
Highligted Player (Cech):
Petr Cech is a veteran goalkeeper who plays for Premier League side Arsenal. The experienced goalkeeper used to play for Arsenal’s fierce rivals Chelsea in the past and many people were shocked when he signed a four-year contract with the Emirates Stadium outfit on 29 June, 2015. Petr Cech was always struggling with injuries, but one definitely marked his career. During the clash between Reading and Chelsea the Czech goalkeeper collided with Stephen Hunt and, as a result, he suffered a skull fracture. This is the reason he has been forced to wear a protective headgear ever since. Petr Cech won four Premier League trophies with Chelsea, while lifting four FA Cup titles. However, in 2012 Cech won the Champions League trophy with the Blues and that is considered the highlight of his career. Petr is married to Martina Dolejsova (now Cechova) and they have a son Darmian and a daughter Adela.
Highlighted Team (Bayern Munich):
Over the years Bayern Munich have established themselves as one of the most successful European clubs. The Stern des Sudens (Star of the South) are the dominant force in German football and it has to be noted that the Bavarians clinched their 26th Bundesliga title in 2016. Bayern Munich have won 18 German Cup trophies, while winning the Champions League (European Cup) five times. The German giants clinched the Intercontinental Cup in 1976 and 2001, while lifting the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in 2013. Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 by eleven football players and their leader was Franz John. The Bavarians host their rivals at Allianz Arena (75,000), the stadium that was built in 2005. Fellow Bavarian sides TSV 1860 Munchen 1860 and Nurnberg are regarded as Bayern Munich’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern is big as well. The likes of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Muller and Giovane Elber are famous footballers who played for Bayern Munich in the past.
