Our football match prediction:
Roma will be looking to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages with a win over Qarabag at their Stadio Olimpico. The Romans have been producing fine displays in the elite competitions this season and they are on the verge of making it to the last 16. The Serie A side head into Tuesday’s football game against Qarabag following a 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid, but seeing that they are high on confidence at the moment, we predict the Giallorossi will proved their worth in the decider. The Azerbaijan champions, on the other hand, have nothing to play for in their last group game and we do not believe they are capable of spoiling Roma’s party at Stadio Olimpico. Roma did well to beat Qarabag in Baku earlier in the process and, taking everything into account, we are tempted to put our money on the Italian team.
Highlighted Player (Nainggolan):
Born on 4 May 1988, Radja Nainggolan is a Belgian footballer who plays for AS Roma as a central midfielder. The combative midfielder failed to leave a mark on domestic stage, having left his first club Germinal Beerschot for Piacenza as a 17-year-old. Nainggolan soon started to prove his worth at senior level, earning a move to Cagliari in 2010. He continued with impressive performances in Italian Serie A and eventually snubbed a number of top European sides to join AS Roma in 2014. The central midfielder enjoyed a very good start to his career at Stadio Olimpico, while also establishing himself as a first team regular in the Belgian national team, helping the Red Devils climb to first place in FIFA Rankings and also qualify for the Euro 2016 finals. A highly skilled midfielder who does not shirk from defensive duties, Nainggolan is also famous for his fiery temperament that has seen him earn 2 red cards and over 70 yellow cards during the course of his career.
Highlighted Team (Qarabag):
Over the years Qarabag have established themselves as one of the best teams in Azerbaijan. The club was founded in 1951 and they were playing under the name of Mehsul back then. Qarabag won their first trophy in the national championship in 1993, beating Khazar Sumgayit in the title game. In the 2015/2016 season they won their fourth domestic trophy, with the team finishing the season 22 points clear of second-placed Zira. Qarabag participated in the 2016/2017 Champions League qualifiers, but they were more than unfortunate to suffer a loss to Viktoria Plzen in the two-legged tie. The Azerbaijan outfit were beaten by the Czechs on away goal rule and, as a result, they made it to the Europa League playoffs. Thanks to a win over Goteborg in the double-header Qarabag made it to the knockout stages of the competition. The Horsemen play their home games at Azersun Arena and their home colours are black. Qarabag play their away games in white kits.
