Our football match prediction:
Against all odds, Atletico Madrid failed to beat Qarabag at their Estadio Wanda Metropolitano in their last group game in the Champions League. Los Rojiblancos dropped two points in the 1-1 draw with Qurban Qurbanov’s troops and, as a result, they have slim chances of booking their place in the knockout stages. Anyhow, seeing that a win over Roma would keep Atletico Madrid’s hopes alive, we predict that Diego Simeone’s men are going to fight tooth and nail against the Serie A club. The two teams played out a goalless draw at Stadio Olimpico earlier in the process and it has to be noted that the La Liga side should have picked up all three points from the match. The Giallorossi did well to beat Chelsea (3-0) in the “Eternal City” earlier in November, but given the importance of the match for Atletico Madrid, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts this time out.
Highlighted Player (Vitolo):
Over the years Victor Machin Perez - Vitolo has established himself as one of Sevilla’s key players. The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a forward as well, won his third consecutive Europa League trophy with los Sevillanos in 2016. Vitolo was born in Las Palmas on 2 November, 1989 and he played for his home-town club Las Palmas from 2010 to 2013. The Spanish footballer joined Sevilla on 28 June, 2013 and, no doubt, he made the right decision when he moved to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Vitolo played one game for Spain in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, but he failed to make the final cut. However, he established himself as a first-team regular under Julen Lopetegui. Vitolo scored his first goal for La Furia Roja in an 8-0 win over Liechtenstein and he provided an assist for David Silva as well. He has a contract with Sevilla which expires on 30 June, 2020.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma are a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football. The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. “The Prince of Rome” made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
