Our football match prediction:
Basel play host to Benfica at their St. Jakob-Park in their first home game of the 2017/2018 Champions League season. The Swiss champions failed to spoil Manchester United’s party (0-3) at Old Trafford in their opener and you should bear in mind that they are on a nine-game winless run in the elite competition. Basel are eager to put an end to the negative trend and we predict that the hosts will fight tooth and nail in Wednesday’s football match against Benfica. The Eagles do not seem to be on top of their game ahead of the trip to Switzerland and seeing that they failed to impress in a 2-1 loss to CSKA Moscow in their first group match, we believe that the RotBlau are going to pick up all three points from the St. Jakob-Park clash. Benfica recorded only one win in previous five away games in the Champions League.
