Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on Allianz Arena when Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain face each other in the Group B derby. Les Parisiens outclassed the mighty Bavarians at their Parc des Princes earlier in the process, but it has to be noted that the Bundesliga champions were totally out of form back then. Bayern Munich have been producing fine performances in all competitions ever since experienced tactician Jupp Heynckess took over the reins and they are definitely capable of getting their revenge on the big-spending Ligue 1 side. PSG are seen as main favourites to win thee Champions League trophy and, no doubt, they are eager to prove their worth in Tuesday’s football match against the German outfit. A lively contest is on the cards and we predict the two teams, who have already booked their place in the knockout stages, are going to play out a high-scoring draw at Allianz Arena.
Highlighted Player (Arjen Robben):
Arjen Robben is a professional footballer who started his senior career at Groningen. In 2002 he joined PSV and after making 56 league appearances for the Dutch outfit, the pacey winger signed a deal with Chelsea in 2004. The Dutch ace helped the Blues win two Premier League trophies (2004/2005, 2005/2006) and he scored 15 goals in 67 league appearances for the capital club. Arjen Robben played for Real Madrid from 2007 to 2009 and he scored 11 goals in 50 appearances in La Liga. However, the club chiefs were not satisfied with his performances and they decided to sell him to Bayern Munich in 2009. Joining the Bundesliga giants was probably the best decision of his career as he has been winning titles with the German outfit year by year. Robben clinched his fifth Bundesliga trophy with Bayern Munich in the 2015/2016 season and in 2013 he scored the winning goal for the Bavarians in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund. The Bayern Munich star was born in Bedum, Netherlands on 23 January, 1984.
Highlighted Team (Paris SG):
Formed by the merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain in 1970, Paris Saint-Germain or as they call it PSG is the most successful club in French football with 31 domestic titles to their name. Having won six Ligue 1 title so far, a record ten Coupes de France, a record six Coupes de la Ligue, six Trophees des Champions and one Ligue 2 title, PSG are also one of only two French clubs to ever win a European title. Les Parisiens were crowned UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup champions back in 1995-96, while their last European trophy was the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup. Beginning of the new millennium was particularly hard for the celebrated club who flirted with relegation in 2000s before they were bought by the Quatar Sports Investments group in 2011 when the rebirth of the Paris Saint-Germain as we know it today began. Following heavy squad investments and team boosting, PSG won their first Ligue 1 title in 19 years with Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic almost singlehandedly leading his side towards the trophy with 30 goals. Having established domestic dominance, PSG now set their sights on winning the Champions League which remains an elusive dream for the club from Paris.
