Our football match prediction:
Club Brugge and Copenhagen square off against each other at Jan Breydelstadion in Wednesday’s Champions League game. Club Brugge have been playing below expectations in the elite competition this season, but despite the fact that they suffered a loss in each of their five group games, we predict that the Belgians will leave their hearts on the field against Copenhagen. The Danes, on the other hand, are still in the race for a place in the Champions League last 16, but Wednesday’s football match against the Blauw-Zwart will be anything but a walk in the park for the visitors. Club Brugge have been scoring goals for fun at home in recent weeks and, taking everything into account, both teams to score bet appears on the cards. You should bear in mind that no less than 15 goals were scored in previous four meetings between the two teams in all competitions.
Highligted Player (Anthony Limbombe):
A Belgian player of Congolese descent, Athonhy Limbombe is a versatile forward who is equally able to play as a winger. The talented 22-year-old began his career at Racing Genk in 2010, while he spent the last two years as a member of Dutch side NEC Nijmegen. During a two-year spell in the Eredivisie, Anthony Limbombe made 65 league appearances for NEC scoring 21 goals during that time. Limbombe has been outstandingly impressive during the 2015-16 season when he scored 7 goals and notched 7 assists in the Eredivisie. Belgium international has long been linked with a move to English side Leeds, who followed him closely in Eredivisie, but Limbombe chose to return to Belgium in the summer of 2016 when he signed a deal with Club Brugge reportedly worth £2 million. Anthony Limbombe is yet to make his competitive debut for his new side, but the club management has huge expectations from a young forward who could go on to be a huge revelation in the Champions League.
Highlighted Team (FC Copenhagen):
The most successful club in the history of Danish football F.C. Kopenhagen was founded in 1992, through the merger of 15-time Danish champions Kjobenhavns Boldklub and seven-time champions of Denmark Boldklubben 1903. Football Club Copenhagen play their matches at the Telia Parken, a venue that can host 38,000 spectators. The Team of the City as Copenhagen is called in Denmark has won the Danish football championship eleven times, while it has also won the Danish Cup on seven occasions. The club forms great rivalry with Copenhagen’s suburban club Brondby IF with games between the two club attracting some of the biggest crowds in Danish football history in this so called New Firm derby. Through its history F.C. Copenhagen have participated in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League, while their major European accomplishments have been achieved in the Royal League, with the Danish powerhouse winning two titles and coming as runners-up on one occasion.
