Our match prediction:
Ludogorets will be looking to build on a 4-2 win over Crvena Zvezda when they take on Plzen in the Champions League play-offs. The Bulgarian champions impressed in the Stadion Rajko Mitic clash and the team’s pacey wingers made life difficult for the opposition back line. Coach Georgi Dermendzhiev has a number of high-profile footballers to choose from and seeing that Ludogorets are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we predict that the Bulgarians are going to emerge triumphant in the first leg. Plzen were more than fortunate to eliminate Qarabag of Azerbaijan in the double-header and we do not believe that they are capable of upsetting Ludogorets in Razgrad. The Czech side often struggle on the travels and it has to be noted that they conceded 14 goals in last five away games in the elite competition. Taking everything into account, Ludogorets should defeat Plzen in Wednesday’s football game.
