Our match prediction:
French side Monaco could not have hoped for a better start to their 2016-17 campaign. Having eliminated Villarreal to claim their spot in the UEFA Champions League group stage, the Principality club have gone from strength to strength in all competitions early in the season. Monaco have opened their European account with a huge 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley, but have also showed great strength and resilience by dispatching French champions PSG early in the season. Leonardo Jardim’s side is a well-balanced mixture of youth and experience and Monaco are indeed a force to be reckoned with this season. Bayer Leverkusen are equally talented and competitive squad, but they have endured mixed fortunes at the start of the new campaign, winning only two Bundesliga games in five opening rounds. Their 2-2 UEFA Champions League draw against CSKA Moscow has been equally disappointing and German side will undoubtedly looking to make a response as they travel to Monaco. They might end up getting more than what they bargained for since we predict a home win in this particular clash.
