Our football match prediction:
People had doubts of whether Napoli will be able to recover from the departure of their free-scoring striker Gonzalo Higuain, who was in lethal form for the Partenopei last season. The Italian side brought the worthy replacement in Arkadiusz Milik however, with the 22-year-old Poland striker already with 6 goals to his name. Without a defeat in the new season, Maurizio Sarri’s men will be looking to make another statement in Europe after their 2-1 triumph at Dynamo Kiev and will without a doubt have to be considered firm favourites against Benfica. Portugal outfit have had a similarly impressive start to the new season. The 1-1 draw against Besiktas was the only set-back in last five matches for Rui Vitoria’s men, but the game at Napoli is likely to be their biggest test so far. As Benfica prepare to travel to Italy without a couple of injured first-team members we struggle to predict anything else other than a home win in what is likely to be an openly-contested clash.
