Our football match prediction:
Roma kicked off their Champions League campaign with a goalless draw against Atletico Madrid, but it has to be noted that the La Liga side should have picked up all three points from the match. The Giallorossi are now fully focused on Wednesday’s football match against Qarabag and we predict that the Serie A side will go all guns blazing on the Azeri outfit. Bosnia international Edin Dzeko has been scoring goals for fun at the start of the season and all eyes will be on the former Manchester City man when the two teams face each other at Baki Olimpiya Stadionu. Qarabag experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 6-0 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and they are unlikely to claim a major scalp in Group C on Wednesday evening. The Romans need to win the game if they are to keep their hopes of making it to the knockout stages alive and, taking everything into account, away win appears on the cards.
Highlighted Player (Richard):
Richard is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder at Qarabag of Azerbaijan. Richard Almeida de Oliveira was born on March 20, 1989 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and he started his senior career at Santo Andre. After making only four appearances in the league for the Brazilian club, he signed a loan deal with Portuguese side Gil Vicente. In 2012 he moved to Azerbaijan, signing a contract with Qarabag and he has been playing for the Atilar ever since. Richard impressed in his debut season with the club as he scored 13 goals in 30 appearances in the national championship for Qarabag. The 177-cm tall player made his Azerbaijan debut on June 10, 2017 in a 1-0 loss to Northern Ireland. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both attacking midfielder and a left winger as well. It has to be noted that Richard’s contract with Qarabag should expire on June 30, 2018.
Highlighted Team (AS Roma):
AS Roma are a professional football club based in Rome. Roma were founded by a merger in 1927 and they play in the Italian Serie A. Roma’s fiercest rivals are Lazio and it has to be noted that both capital clubs play their home games at Stadio Olimpico. The two local rivals face each other in the Derby della Capitale, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world of football. The Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds) have won three Serie A titles (1941/1942, 1982/1983, 2000/2001), while winning nine Coppa Italia trophies. The colour of Roma’s shirts is imperial purple with a golden yellow trim. A number of top-class footballers were part of Roma in the past, but Francesco Totti is undisputedly the club’s biggest legend. “The Prince of Rome” made his 601 appearances for Roma on 14 May, 2016 when the Giallorossi recorded a 3-1 win over Milan at Stadio San Siro.
