Our football match prediction:
Following a goalless draw with Roma at Stadio Olimpico, Atletico Madrid were on the verge of sharing the spoils with Chelsea at their Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, but the Blues eventually scored a late winner and picked up all three points from the match. As a result, los Rojiblancos face a must-win situation in Wednesday’s football game against Qarabag and we predict that they will go all guns blazing at Qurban Qurbanov’s troops. Antoine Griezmann has been struggling to find his best form at the start of the season, but, no doubt, the French attacker is going to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders. Qarabag experienced all sorts of problems at the back in defeats to Chelsea and Roma and they are unlikely to upset the star-studded La Liga side. It has to be noted that the hosts conceded ten goals in previous three games in the Champions League.
Highligted Player (Richard):
Richard is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder at Qarabag of Azerbaijan. Richard Almeida de Oliveira was born on March 20, 1989 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and he started his senior career at Santo Andre. After making only four appearances in the league for the Brazilian club, he signed a loan deal with Portuguese side Gil Vicente. In 2012 he moved to Azerbaijan, signing a contract with Qarabag and he has been playing for the Atilar ever since. Richard impressed in his debut season with the club as he scored 13 goals in 30 appearances in the national championship for Qarabag. The 177-cm tall player made his Azerbaijan debut on June 10, 2017 in a 1-0 loss to Northern Ireland. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both attacking midfielder and a left winger as well. It has to be noted that Richard’s contract with Qarabag should expire on June 30, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Atletico Madrid):
Atletico Madrid are a Spanish team that plays in Primera Division (La Liga). Los Rojiblancos or los Colchoneros play their home matches at Estadio Vicente Calderon, which holds up to 54,960 spectators. Atletico Madrid have won 10 La Liga titles, but they have yet to lift the European Cup (Champions League) trophy. Los Rojblancos have won 10 Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) trophies and it has to be noted that they defeated their bitter local rivals Real Madrid in the 2012/2013 Spanish Cup final. The rivalry between the two capital clubs is pretty big and El Madrileno is regarded as one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Atletico Madrid played two Champions League finals under Diego Simeone, but they failed to beat Real Madrid in the title games (2013/2014 and 2015/2016). However, the Argentine tactician helped Atletico Madrid win the La Liga trophy in 2014 and, no doubt, he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the capital club.
