Our football match prediction:
As expected, Rijeka rolled over TNS of Wales in round 2 of the Champions League qualifiers and they did well to play out a 1-1 draw with Salzburg at Red Bull Arena in the first leg of the third qualifying round. The Rijecki bijeli are on a quest to defend their “slim lead” in Wednesday’s football match at their Stadion HNK Rijeka and seeing that the Croats have been impressive at the start of the new HNL campaign, we predict that they will advance to the Champions League play-offs. Salzburg failed to impress in the 1-1 draw with Rijeka in the first leg and seeing that Austrian side need to record a win over Matjaz Kek’s troops or to play out a high-scoring draw if they are to book their place in the next qualifying round, there is every chance the visitors will adopt an attack-minded approach in Wednesday’s clash. Rijeka should have a number of opportunities to find the net on the break and home win should be considered.
