Our match prediction:
Shakhtar Donetsk finished the 2015/2016 Ukrainian Premier League campaign in second place in the standings and, as a result, they will have to book their place in the Champions League group stages through qualifications. The Miners take on Young Boys in the third round of the Champions League qualifying campaign and they need to take Tuesday’s football match very seriously if they are to emerge triumphant in the first leg. Young Boys were hammered by Monaco in the 2015/2016 Champions League qualifying campaign and it remains to be seen if they are capable of making it to the group stages of the elite competition for the first time ever. The Swiss outfit play well on home soil, but they often struggle on the road and given the quality of Shakhtar Donetsk players, we predict that the hosts will record a win over Adi Hutter’s charges in the first leg.
