Our prediction for this Champions League match:
All eyes will be on Sakarya Ataturk Stadi when Shakhtyor Soligorsk and Maribor square off against each other in the Champions League first qualifying round, return leg. Shakhtyor produced a fine display in the first leg, with the team failing to turn their dominance into victory. Head coach Sergey Tashuev has no fresh injury worries, and he is unlikely to make changes to the team that faced Maribor in Slovenia.
The Violets, on the other hand, failed to impress in the goalless draw with Shakhtyor Soligorsk. Maribor are not regarded as good travellers, which is probably the main reason why we are going to put our money on Sergey Tashuev’s troops. There are no selection worries in the away team, but both Guerrico and Kronaveter are pushing for a start. In their last home game in the Champions League Shakhtyor were beaten by Ludogorets, but they are surely capable of defeating Maribor at Sakarya Ataturk Stadi.
