Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Wednesday’s football match at Estadio Jose Alvalade pits together Sporting CP and Olympiakos. Sporting kicked off their Champions League campaign with a 3-2 away win over Olympiakos, but they are on a three-game winless run in Group D ahead of the visit of the Greek champions. The Lions sit in third place in the standings and seeing that they are three points behind second-placed Juventus, this has to go down as a must-win game for the hosts. The Thrylos, on the other hand, are eyeing a place in the Europa League last 32, but beating the Portuguese outfit on the road is easier said than done. Sporting CP are more of a team than Olympiakos and, taking everything into account, we predict that they are going to record yet another win over Takis Lemonis’ troops. A man to watch in the home team will be Bas Dost, who has been scoring goals for fun in Primeira Liga this season.
