Our football match prediction:
Thanks to a 4-0 win over Lleida Esportiu Atletico Madrid moved one step closer to booking their place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. Atletico’s job in the tie against the Segunda B side is almost done and there is every chance coach Diego Simeone will rest his first-team regulars in Tuesday’s football match. Diego Costa is banned for La Liga game against Eibar and there is every chance he will lead the line for the hosts against Lleida Esportiu. The Segunda B team have nothing to play for in the return leg and despite the fact that Atletico Madrid boss Simeone is going to mix the squad this time out, we predict the visitors will return home empty-handed. Los Rojiblancos are a real force to be reckoned with at home and, taking everything into account, they are going to record yet another win over Lleida.
Highlighted Player (Vrsaljko):
Born in Zadar on 10th January 1994, Sime Vrsaljko is one of the most talented footballers from Croatia’s new generation, who has already made a name for himself in Italian Serie A and Europe. The right-sided defender came through Dinamo Zagreb’s famous youth school and he earned plenty of top flight experience at a very young age before moving to Italy in 2013. After spending a year at Genoa, Vrsaljko signed for Sassuolo with a view of moving to Juventus in the future, although he has yet to realise a big club move. Capable of operating on either side of defence, Vrsaljko has emerged as one of league’s top full-backs and it is only a matter of time before he joins a top European club. Having represented Croatia at various youth levels, the defender made his senior debut in 2011 and has since come very close to nailing down a regular starting berth. Vrsaljko has a bright future in the game and he will be present at international stage in years to come.
Highlighted Team (Atletico Madrid):
Atletico Madrid are a Spanish team that plays in Primera Division (La Liga). Los Rojiblancos or los Colchoneros play their home matches at Estadio Vicente Calderon, which holds up to 54,960 spectators. Atletico Madrid have won 10 La Liga titles, but they have yet to lift the European Cup (Champions League) trophy. Los Rojblancos have won 10 Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup) trophies and it has to be noted that they defeated their bitter local rivals Real Madrid in the 2012/2013 Spanish Cup final. The rivalry between the two capital clubs is pretty big and El Madrileno is regarded as one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Atletico Madrid played two Champions League finals under Diego Simeone, but they failed to beat Real Madrid in the title games (2013/2014 and 2015/2016). However, the Argentine tactician helped Atletico Madrid win the La Liga trophy in 2014 and, no doubt, he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of the capital club.
