Our football match prediction:
Against all odds, Celta Vigo defeated Real Madrid (2-1) at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals, first leg. Os Celeste proved their worth against los Blancos, but coach Eduardo Berizzo must warn his men against complacency as the Galicians have yet to get their job done in the tie against the Spanish giants. Celta head into Wednesday’s football match following a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad and we are not tempted put our money on the hosts this time out. Real Madrid did well to beat Malaga in their last league match and thanks to the triumph Zinedine Zidane’s troops moved one step closer to clinching the La Liga trophy. Los Blancos, though, have big ambitions for the current Copa del Rey campaigns as well and we predict that Zinedine Zidane’s troops are going to emerge triumphant in the second leg. Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score against Malaga at the weekend, but the opposition defenders should have him at bay.
Highlighted Player (Guidetti):
John Guidetti is one of Sweden’s most talented forwards and the man tipped to replace superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the national team. The highly rated footballer left Brommapojkarna soon after being promoted to the first team set-up, joining Premier League giants Manchester City. And while he never got a chance to shine at Etihad Stadium, Guidetti proved a great deal of potential during loan spells with Feyenoord and Celtic, and eventually earned a permanent contract with La Liga high flyers Celta Vigo. The talented striker has yet to nail down a regular starting berth at Balaidos, but he has been using the time spent on the pitch wisely, and continued his goalscoring form in Spain’s top flight. Playing alongside Nolito and Iago Aspas at club level as well as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Berg on international stage is bound to further aid the player’s development, and many believe he will go on to become one of Sweden’s best ever strikers. Guidetti has so far only made a handful of appearances for Blagult, but that is bound to change in years to come.
Highlighted Team (Real Madrid):
Real Madrid are a Spanish football club based in Madrid. Real Madrid participate in La Liga (Primera Division) and they have won 32 domestic titles. On the other hand, los Blancos have won 11 European Cup titles and that is the main reason why they are considered the biggest football club in the world. Real Madrid play their home matches at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and the capacity of the stadium is 84,454. Cristiano Ronaldo is the club’s most successful footballer in the 21st century and the Portuguese superstar has won two Golden Ball awards. The likes of Alfredo Di Stefano, Zinedine Zidane, Raul Gonzalez Blanco, David Beckham and Iker Casillas are star players who were part of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the past. Real Madrid’s bitterest rivals are Barcelona, but the rivalry between local rivals Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid is big as well. Real Madrid’s home kit is white and, as a result, the team’s nickname is los Blancos (the Whites).
