Our football match prediction:
Estadio Municipal Reino de Leon will host Wednesday’s football game between Cultural Leonesa and Barcelona, who face each other in the Copa del Rey last 32. Barca are eager to defend their Spanish Cup title and we predict that they are going to take their opener very seriously. The Catalan giants will be without injured ace Leo Messi in Wednesday’s clash against Cultural Leonesa, but regardless of which players will be deployed in the starting XI, away win should be considered. The Segunda B side, on the other hand, set up a meeting with Barca by beating the likes of Navalcarnero, Fuenlabrada and Lorca, but Luis Suarez and Co. are likely to pose a much bigger threat for the hosts than their previous rivals. Taking everything into account, anything but a routine away win will be a major surprise in this one.
Highlighted Player (Arturo Vidal):
Arturo Vidal is a Chilean international who started his senior career at Colo-Colo. In 2007 he moved to Europe, signing a deal with Bayer Leverkusen. After making 117 league appearances for the Bundesliga outfit from 2007 to 2011, he joined Juventus on 22 July, 2011 for a fee of €10.5 million. Vidal won four Serie A trophies with the Bianconeri and he participated in the Champions League final against Barcelona on 6 June, 2015. The Serie A giants, though, were beaten by Barca in the title game. In the summer of 2015 he moved to Bayern Munich and he won the Bundesliga trophies with Pep Guardiola’s team in the 2015/2016 season. Speaking of his international career, Vidal won two Copa America trophies with Chile (2015, 2016). The Chilean ace is a central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both as defensive at attacking midfielder as well. His contract with Bayern Munich expires on 30 June, 2019.
Highlighted Team (Barcelona):
Barcelona are a Spanish football club based in Barcelona, Catalonia. Barca were founded in 1899 and they are regarded as one of the greatest clubs in world football. The Catalan giants won their 24th La Liga title in 2016, with Luis Suarez winning “El Pichichi” award. Barcelona have won five European Cup trophies and a number of top-class players were part of the team in the past. The likes of Hristo Stoichkov, Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona and Pep Guardiola are some of many players that played for Barca in the past, but, no doubt, Leo Messi has established himself as the club’s trademark. Barcelona welcome their rivals at Camp Nou, the stadium that was built in 1957. Barcelona’s local rivals are Espanyol, but the rivalry between Barca and Real Madrid is much bigger. The two La Liga giants face each other in “El Clasico”, which is considered one of the most exciting derbies in the world football. Barca are famous for their football youth school La Masia as well.
