Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on Estadio Santiago Bernabeu when Real Madrid square off against Sevilla in the last 16 of the Spanish Cup. Los Blancos did remarkably well to win the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in December and, no doubt, the Spanish giants are high on confidence ahead of Wednesday’s football game. Cristiano Ronaldo helped Real Madrid win the tournament in Japan and the Golden Ball award winner will be the man to watch in the home team. Sevilla rolled over Formentera in the Copa del Rey last 32, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in the two-legged tie against Zinedine Zidane’s troops. Los Sevillanos have been impressive under former Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli this term, but beating Real Madrid at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is easier said than done and we predict that the star-studded hosts will emerge triumphant in the first leg.
Highlighted Player (Karim Benzema):
Striker Karim Benzema came through his youth club Bron Terraillon in Olympique Lyon were he went through all the youth teams. On January 15, 2005 Benzema made his debut for the first team of Lyon that season but did not have much playing time. In the 2007-2008 season he was indeed a permanent fixture in the team and he got his break . He grew that season right into a crowd favorite and clubs like Arsenal, Juventus, Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan showed interest in him.Benzema in 2008 (like 2005, 2006, and 2007) was in the champions with Olympique Lyon and had no interest in leaving France.
