Our football match prediction:
Estadio Municipal de Anoeta will host Wednesday’s football match between Real Sociedad and Villarreal. La Real have been impressive in the Spanish elite division this season and they are sitting in fifth place in the La Liga standings after 16 rounds. The Basque outfit are tough to beat at home and we predict that they will record a win over Villarreal in the Copa del Rey last 16, first leg. The Yellow Submarine are enjoying a very successful season as well, but their performances on the road leave a lot to be desired. Real Sociedad recorded five wins in previous six home games in La Liga and there is every chance the visitors will return home empty-handed. Former Las Palmas attacker Willian Jose has been impressive in front of goal this term and he is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders in Wednesday’s clash.
Highlighted Player (Diego Reyes):
Diego Antonio Reyes is a young 23-year-old Mexico centre back who plays for Spanish club Real Sociedad on loan from Porto. The defender has often been described as intelligent in his positioning and strong in the air. He is considered to be a natural ball-playing defender who is comfortable in possession. Although he is primarily a defender, Reyes has played as a defensive midfielder too. He made his professional debut with Club America in 2010 starting as a midfielder but quickly moving into his more naturally suited central defender role. He was quickly snapped up by Porto in 2013 although his playing time at the Portuguese club was limited. Reyes has played for Mexico at various national youth team levels including the gold-medal winning under-23 squad at the 2012 London Olympics. He was called up to the senior team in 2011 and has already participated in Confederations Cup and FIFA World Cup.
