Our football match prediction:
Thanks to a 2-0 win over Roma Lazio moved one step closer to booking their place in the Coppa Italia final, but their job is half done. The Biancocelesti need to defend their two-goal lead in Tuesday’s football match at Stadio Olimpico if they are to meet the goal and we predict that the away team will adopt a defence-minded approach in the Rome derby. Lazio head into the match following a 2-1 win over Sassuolo and it has to be noted that Simone Inzaghi’s men are on a ten-game unbeaten run in all competitions. The Giallorossi have no other choice but to go all guns blazing on their fierce local rivals and that is the main reason why over 2.5 goals bet should be considered. Roma have been impressive at their Stadio Olimpico this season, but they are unlikely overcome the deficit in the Coppa Italia tie against Lazio.
Highlighted Player (Daniele De Rossi):
Daniele De Rossi is one of the most impressive products of Roma’s youth academy. De Rossi played as a striker at the start of his career, but he has since developed into one of world’s leading holding midfielders. The Italian footballer plays as a centre back as well and he has been a part of Roma since 2001. De Rossi was born on 24 July, 1983 in the capital of Italy and he has 16 caps for Italy U21 team. The Roma midfielder won the 2006 FIFA World Cup with Italy as they defeated France in the title game. De Rossi is well known for his tackling, vision, brilliant passing and awareness and he is capable of reading the game. The Italian footballer made 24 appearances for Roma in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign and he represented Italy at the 2016 European Championship finals. However, the Azzurri failed to record a good result at the tournament in France as they were beaten by Germany in the quarter-finals.
Highlighted Team (Lazio Roma):
Lazio are an Italian football club based in Rome. Lazio were founded in 1900 and they compete in the Serie A. The Biancocelesti (The White and Sky Blues) have won two Serie A trophies (1973/1974, 1999/2000), while lifting six Coppa Italia titles. The capital club play their home games at Stadio Olimpico and Roma are regarded as Lazio’s main rivals. The two teams face each other in the Derby della Capitale and it is considered the fiercest inter-city derby in Italy. Lazio won UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1999, with the team beating Mallorca in the title game. The same year they managed to clinch the UEFA Super Cup trophy as they outplayed English giants Manchester United at Stade Louis II, Monaco. The likes of Pavel Nedved, Giuseppe Favalli, Juan Sebastian Veron, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Roberto Mancini, Giuseppe Signori, Miroslav Klose and Simone Inzaghi are notable footballers who played for Lazio in the past.
