Our football match prediction:
Tuesday’s football match at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris pits together Sampdoria and Pescara. La Samp have been producing terrific showings on home soil this season and they recorded a win in each of their previous six home games in the Italian top flight. Marco Giampaolo’s men proved their worth in a 3-2 win over Italian giants Juventus and we predict they will record a routine win over Pescara in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia. The Delfini kicked off their Italian Cup campaign with a 5-3 win over Triestina and they did well to beat Brescia on the road in the last 32. However, they will have a mountain to climb in Tuesday’s football game against Sampdoria if they are to book their place in the quarter-finals, but that is easier said than done. When the two teams met in the Serie A in Genoa last term La Samp recorded a 3-1 win over the Delfini.
Highlighted Player (Duvan Zapata):
Duvan Zapata was born in Cali, Colombia on 1 April, 1991. The 186-cm-tall attacker started his youth career at America de Cali, playing for the club between 2004 and 2008. In 2008 he made his debut for the first team and three years later he scored his first hat-trick for the Colombian outfit, in a 3-2 win over Deportivo Pereira. In 2011 he signed a loan deal with Estudiantes and he found the net for the Argentine team on his debut against Belgrano. After scoring 11 goals in 37 appearances for Estudiantes, the Colombian striker joined Napoli in 2013, but he failed to establish himself as a first-choice attacker. On 22 July, 2015 Zapata joined fellow Serie A team Udinese on loan and it has to be noted that he scored eight goals in 24 league appearances for the Zebrette. Duvan Zapata has 5 caps for Colombia U20 team, but he has yet to make his debut for the senior side.
Highlighted Team (Pescara):
Pescara are an Italian football club that play in the Serie A. The Delfini (The Dolphins) returned to the Italian top flight at the end of the 2015/2016 season and it has to be noted that they competed in six seasons in the elite division (1977–78, 1979–80, 1987–88, 1988–89, 1992–93, 2012–13). Pescara play their home matches at Stadio Adriatico, the stadium that was opened in 1955 and renovated in 2009. The club’s main rivals are Lazio and Verona, but the likes of Chieti, Virtus and L’Aquila are considered Pescara’s bitter rivals as well. Vicenza and Messina are regarded as Gemellaggi (Twinning) with Pescara. Delfini have yet to win the Serie A trophy, but it has to be noted that they won the Serie B twice (1986/1987, 2011/2012). The colour of Pescara’s home kit is white and blue, while the team’s away kit is dark blue.
