Our prediction for this Coupe de la Ligue match:
A place in the Coupe de la Ligue last 16 will be at stake when Bordeaux and Dijon face each other at Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Tuesday evening. Bordeaux aim to make amends for back-to-back defeats to the likes of Saint-Etienne and Lille and they are definitely capable of beating the Mustards at home ground. Les Girondins are determined to regain a much-needed confidence and we are positive that they are going to fight tooth and nail against Dijon.
The Mustards failed to impress in a 2-0 loss to Brest in their last league fixture and seeing that they are sitting in the last position in the Ligue 1 standings, we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Bordeaux’s party at Stade Matmut-Atlantique. Bordeaux are more of a team than Dijon and we predict that they are going to advance to the next round of the Coupe de la Ligue.
Highlighted Player (Mexer):

Edson Andre Sitoe “Mexer”, who was born in Maputo, Mozambique on September 8, 1988, began his senior career at Desportivo Maputo and he scored three goals in 97 appearances for the club. Mexer played for his home-town club from 2006 to 2010 and in the winter of 2010 he joined Portuguese side Sporting for a fee of €173,000.
The Mozambique centre-back was quickly loaned to Olhanense and it has to be noted that he made 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club in the league. In 2012 he was sold to fellow Portuguese outfit Nacional and after playing 57 league games for the club, Mexer moved to France. The 187-cm-tall footballer signed a contract with Rennes in January, 2014 and he has been playing for les Rouges et Noirs ever since.
Mexer made his debut for Mozambique national team in 2007 and he represented Os Mambas at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations. He scored his first goal for Mozambique in a 5-0 win over South Sudan in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Highlighted Team (Dijon):

Founded in 1998, Dijon is a result of a merger between two local clubs. The Mustards played their first ever match in the Ligue 1 on August 7, 2011, with the team suffering a heavy 5-1 loss on their debut in the French top flight. After suffering relegation to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2011/2012 season, the club returned to the French elite division in 2016.
The Mustards finished the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign in 16th place in the standings, only one point clear of the relegation zone. Dijon are well known for their red jerseys, while they wear white when playing on the road. The Mustards welcome their rivals at Stade Gaston Gerard, the venue which was both built and opened in 1934. In the 1998/1999 season the club recorded a historical 12-1 Coupe de France win over Mahault Baie and that is considered the club’s biggest ever win in a competitive match.
Stephane Mangione, who made 181 appearances for the club, is regarded as one of the team’s famous players.
