Our football match prediction:
A place in the DFB Pokal semis will be at stake when Paderborn and Bayern Munich face each other at Benteler-Arena. The mighty Bavarians set up a meeting with the 3. Liga side by beating the likes of Chemnitzer, Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund and they are seen as hot favourites to win Tuesday's football match. Despite the fact that coach Jupp Heynckes is likely to mix the squad against Paderborn, away win should be considered and we predict that Robert Lewandowski and Co. are going to prove their worth on the field. Steffen Baumgart's men are fully focused on 3. Liga as they are eyeing automatic promotion to the German second tier and that is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the Bundesliga giants. In their last meeting in a competitive match Bayern Munich recorded a routine 6-0 win over Paderborn.
Highlighted Player (Ribery):
After playing for the likes of Boulougne, Ales, Brest and Metz in France, Franck Ribery joined Galatasaray in 2005, but he spent no more than six months at the club. The French winger, who was born on 7 April, 1983, returned to Ligue 1, signing a deal with Olympique Marseille. Ribery scored 11 goals in 60 league appearances for the OM and Bayern Munich scouts spotted him during the 2006/2007 season. The French footballer signed a four-year deal with the Bavarians on 7 June, 2007 for a fee of €25 million. Ribery has been playing for the German giants ever since and it has to be noted that he won his sixth Bundesliga trophy in the 2015/2016 season and the Champions League title in 2013. The Bayern Munich ace played for France at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and he made it to the final of the tournament with les Tricolores. He has 13 caps for France U21 team. Ribery’s younger brothers Francois and Steven are footballers as well.
Highlighted Team (Bayern Munich):
Over the years Bayern Munich have established themselves as one of the most successful European clubs. The Stern des Sudens (Star of the South) are the dominant force in German football and it has to be noted that the Bavarians clinched their 26th Bundesliga title in 2016. Bayern Munich have won 18 German Cup trophies, while winning the Champions League (European Cup) five times. The German giants clinched the Intercontinental Cup in 1976 and 2001, while lifting the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in 2013. Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 by eleven football players and their leader was Franz John. The Bavarians host their rivals at Allianz Arena (75,000), the stadium that was built in 2005. Fellow Bavarian sides TSV 1860 Munchen 1860 and Nurnberg are regarded as Bayern Munich’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern is big as well. The likes of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Muller and Giovane Elber are famous footballers who played for Bayern Munich in the past.
