Our prediction for this DFB Pokal match:
Schalke will be looking to build on a 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the local derby when they take on Eintracht Frankfurt at VELTINS-Arena in what is expected to be a very entertaining clash. Die Knappen have been impressive at home ground this term and you should bear in mind that they are on a four-game winning run at home in the Bundesliga. Die Adler, on the other hand, suffered a heavy 4-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in their last league fixture, but they should not be written off just yet. Eintracht Frankfurt have defeated the likes of Emdtebruck, Schweinfurt, Heidenheim and Mainz on their way to the German Cup semis, but Schalke are likely to pose a much bigger threat for Niko Kovac's men than their previous rivals. Considering that die Knappen are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we predict that they are going to emerge triumphant in Wednesday's football game.
