Our football match prediction:
Following a 3-1 win (extra time) over AFC Wimbledon, Brentford rolled over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road to set up a meeting with Norwich City in the League Cup last 32. The Bees aim to extend their winning run in the competition, but Tuesday’s football match against Norwich City will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. Brentford have been struggling in the Championship this season and you should bear in mind that they have yet to record a win in the league. The Canaries, on the other hand, did well to beat Sheffield United at Bramall Lane at the weekend and, no doubt, they regained a much-needed confidence. However, seeing that the club’s main goal is to secure promotion to the Premier League, we predict that coach Daniel Farke is going to mix the squad in the League Cup clash against Brentford.
Highlighted Player (Andreas Bjelland):
Andreas Bjelland is a Danish footballer who plays for Brentford. Bjelland plays at centre back and he started his professional career in 2006. After spending three seasons at Lyngby, Bjelland joined yet another Danish outfit Nordsjaelland in 2009 and he went on to make a total of 72 appearances for the Wild Tigers. On 6 November, 2011, Bjelland signed a four-year deal with Twente but he made no more than 14 appearances for the club on his debut season due to injury. After spending six months on the sidelines with a broken metatarsal, Bjelland returned to contention and he came back fit for the 2013/2014 Eredivisie campaign. The Danish defender played in 33 games for Twente in the 2013/2014 season, while making 26 appearances for the club in his last season (2014/2015) at De Grolsch Veste. On 2 July, 2015, the highly rated centre-back joined Championship side Brentford and he has been playing for the Bees ever since. The Danish footballer, though, suffered a groin injury in pre-season and, as a result, he did not make his Brentford debut in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign.
Highlighted Team (Norwich City):
After spending only one season in the Premier League, Norwich City dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 campaign. Norwich City are located in Norwich, Norfolk and they welcome their rivals at Carrow Road. The stadium was built and opened in 1935 and the capacity of the venues is 27,137 (all-seater). However the stadium’s record attendance is 43,984. The Canaries have won two League Cup trophies (1973, 1975) and their main rivals are Ipswich Town. The two teams have been facing each other in the East Anglian Derby since 1902. The colour of Norwich City’s home kit is yellow and green and that is the main reason why they are known as the Canaries. The likes of Kevin Keeland, Ian Culverhouse, Steve Bruce, Duncan Forbes, Mark Bowen, Darren Huckerby, Ian Crook, Martin Peters, Darren Eadier, Chris Sutton and Iwan Roberts are notable footballers who played for the Carrow Road outfit in the past.
