Our football match prediction:
Chelsea and Nottingham Forest square off against each other in the third round of the League Cup in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Wednesday’s program. The Blues failed to beat Arsenal in the London derby at the weekend and, no doubt, they are eager to return to winning ways. Antonio Conte’s troops are a real force to be reckoned with at home and despite the fact that the Italian tactician is going to rest his first-team regulars in Wednesday’s football match against Forest, we predict that the Premier League side will book their place in round 4. The Reds head into the match following a 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton and, taking everything into account, they are unlikely to claim a major scalp in the third round of the League Cup. Former Olympique Marseille attacker Michy Batshuayi is likely to lead the line for the hosts against Nottingham Forest.
Highlighted Player (Hazard):
After impressing during his six-year spell with Lille (2007-2012), Eden Hazard signed for Chelsea in June, 2012. The Belgian midfielder helped the Blues win the Premier League trophy in the 2014/2015 campaign and it has to be noted that he was named the Premier League Player of the Year back then. Eden Hazard made it to the 2014 World Cup quarter-finals with Belgium, but Argentina proved to be a big catch for the Red Devils in the last eight of the showpiece tournament in Brazil. Hazard scored one goal for Belgium at the Euro 2016 finals, while providing four assists for his teammates and no doubt he was the key player for Marc Wilmots’ team at the tournament in France. Eden was born on 7 January, 1991 in La Louviere, Belgium and it is well known that his brother Thorgan Hazard is a professional football player as well. Eden Hazard is married to Natacha Van Honacker, who gave birth to their three children.
Highlighted Team (Nottingham Forest):
Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865. They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0). Nottingham Forest won the national championship in the 1977/1978 season, with the team finishing the campaign seven points clear of second-placed Liverpool. To make things even better for the fans, the City Ground outfit clinched the FA Cup trophies in 1898 and 1959. Derby County are regarded as Forest’s bitterest rivals and the two local rivals contest in the East Midlands derby. In their first ever meeting in the local derby Forest recorded a 3-2 win over Derby County.
