Our prediction for this EFL Cup match:
Deepdale will host Wednesday’s EFL Cup game between Preston and Brighton. The Lilywhites have been having their ups and downs at the start of the season. They kicked off their EFL Cup campaign with a 2-1 win over Derby County, but they failed to beat Swansea (0-1) and Norwich (2-2) in the first two league fixtures. The Championship outfit aim to get back on course, but beating the Seagulls is easier said than done.
Brighton, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-0 win over Newcastle United, but keep in mind that the likes of And one, Izquiero, and Walton remain in the recovery room. Adam Lallana is rated doubtful for the EFL Cup game. Anyhow, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw as Preston are tough to beat at home. Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma should start the match despite being sent off in the 3-0 win over Newcastle.
Highlighted Player (Alan Browne):

Alan Browne is a Republic of Ireland international who plays for Preston North End as a central midfielder. Born in Cork on April 15, 1999, Browne began his youth career at Ringmahon Rangers, but he soon moved to his hometown club Cork City.
Despite being part of the Cork City senior team, he did not enjoy first-team football with the Rebel Army. On January 1, 2014 Alan Browne signed a deal with Preston North End in the League One and one year later he helped the Lilywhites beat Preston in the play-off final and secure promotion to the Championship.
The 179-cm-tall midfielder has established himself as a first-team regular at Preston and it has to be noted that he played for the Ireland national team in the past as well. Alan Browne made his Republic of Ireland debut on February 6, 2017 in a friendly game against Mexico.
Highlighted Team (Brighton):

Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club were formed in 1901. The Seagulls welcome their opponents at Falmer Stadium and the capacity of Brighton’s home ground is 30,750. The stadium was built in 2008 and it was opened in 2011. The venue is known for commercial purposes as American Express Community Stadium.
Brighton & Hove Albion compete in the Premier League and they play in blue and white stripes. The colour of Brighton’s away kit is green. The club made it to the FA Cup final in 1983, but English giants Manchester United proved to be a big catch for the Red Devils.
Brighton’s main rivals are Crystal Palace and the Seagulls have recorded 35 wins over the Eagles. Frank Stapleton, Martin Chivers, Joe Corrigan, Bobby Zamora, Mark Lawrenson, Bobby Smith, John Crumplin and Frank Worthington are notable footballers who played for Brighton in the past. The Albion is Preston’s yet another nickname.
