Our football match prediction:
London Stadium will host Wednesday’s football match between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, who face each other in the Carabao Cup last 16. West Ham head into the game following a 1-1 draw with Leicester City in the Premier League, but it has to be noted that they were on the verge of beating the Foxes at King Power Stadium. Mark Noble is suspended for the Tottenham game and seeing that key attacker Marko Arnautovic misses the match with injury, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the visitors. Dele Alli, who has overcome his injury, is likely to play some part in Wednesday’s clash and we believe that he is going to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders. Spurs defeated the Hammers 1-0 in the Premier League last month, which is yet another reason why away win should be considered.
Highlighted Player (Winston Reid):
Despite playing for Denmark youth teams in the past, Winston Reid decided to represent New Zealand at senior level. The prolific defender spent his youth career at Danish clubs Sonderborg and Midtjylland and he made his first appearance for the Midtjylland first team in the Royal League tournament against Valerenga. Winston Reid was making progress year by year and he was on West Ham’s radar during the 2009/2010 season. In the summer of 2010 (August) Reid signed a three-year deal with the Hammers and he made his Premier League debut in a 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa on August 14, 2010. However, the New Zealand defender made no more than 12 appearances for West Ham United in his first season for the capital club. To make things even worse for him, at the end of the 2010/2011 Premier League campaign the Hammers dropped to the Championship. You should bear in mind that Winston Reid played three games for New Zealand at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and he scored a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw with Slovakia.
Highlighted Team (Tottenham Hotspur):
Tottenham Hotspur are a professional football club based in North London. Spurs host their rivals at White Hart Lane and the capacity of the stadium is 36,284. Tottenham won the Premier League (First Division) trophy in 1950/1951 and 1960/1961 and despite producing terrific displays in the 2015/2016 campaign Mauro Pochettino’s team eventually finished the season in third place in the standings. Tottenham’s bitter rivals are Arsenal, but Chelsea and West Ham United are regarded as the team’s fierce opponents as well. Spurs have won eight FA Cup trophies, with the team also lifting the 1962/1963 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. Tottenham Hotspur hammered Atletico Madrid in the final of the competition back then (5-1). The likes of David Ginola, Sol Campbell, Teddy Sheringham, Jurgen Klinsmann, Gary Lineker, Luka Modric, Robbie Keane and Gareth Bale are star players that used to play for the White Hart Lane outfit in the past. The colour of Tottenham Hotspur’s home kit is white.
