Our match prediction:
Following a win over Ventspils in the Europa League second qualifying round, Aberdeen will be looking to make it to the play-offs of the European competition when they take on Maribor in the two-legged tie. The Dons are eyeing their fourth consecutive win in all competitions and they will certainly go for a victory in Friday’s football match against the Slovenian outfit. Maribor defeated Levski Sofia in the Europa League second qualifying round and, on the other hand, they recorded back-to-back wins over Koper and Rudar at the start of the new domestic campaign. The Violets have been impressive at the back of late and given that they conceded only one goal in previous four matches, we predict that under 2.5 goals will be scored in the Pittodrie Stadium clash. Aberdeen and Maribor square off against each other for the first time ever in European competitions and we would not be surprised if they share the spoils in the first leg.
