Our prediction for this Europa League match:
AEK Athens impressed in warm-up games, with the team managing to keep a clean sheet in each of their five friendly matches against Banik Ostrava, Korona Kielce, Wigry Suwalki, Pogon Siedlce and Aris. The Greek outfit did well to play out a goalless draw with Saint Etienne in France in the Europa League third qualifying round, first leg, but Thursday’s match against les Verts will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. AEK are tough to beat at home and considering that Saint Etienne managed to prevent the Greeks from scoring in the first leg, we predict that under 2.5 goals will be scored in the Olympiako Stadio Spyros Louis clash. Both sides are widely expected to adopt a cautious approach in the return leg and we would not be surprised if they play out yet another goalless draw in the 2016/2017 Europa League qualifiers.
