Our football match prediction:
Borussia M’gladbach and Fiorentina face each other at Stadion im Borussia-Park in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Thursday’s program. The Bundesliga outfit are on a three-game winning run in all competitions and it is no surprise they are regarded as favourites to emerge triumphant in the first leg. Die Fohlen failed to make it to the Champions League knockout stages, but they are definitely capable of going all the way in the Europa League. Over the years Borussia M’gladbach have turned their Stadion im Borussia-Park into a real fortress and seeing that the Viola often struggle on the travels, we predict that the hosts will win Thursday’s football game. Thorgan Hazard scored the winner against Werder Bremen at the weekend and the opposition defenders are likely to have their work cut out for them when facing Eden Hazard’s brother. You should bear in mind that the German side scored 10 goals in previous three home games in the Europa League.
Highlighted Player (Kramer):
Christoph Kramer is a German midfielder born in Solingen on 19 February 1991, and he is most famous for helping Germany lift the 2014 World Cup trophy. The defensive midfielder came to prominence after signing for Bayer Leverkusen, but it was the loan spells with VFL Bochum and Borussia M’gladbach that seriously aided his development. Kramer received a surprise call up to Joachim Low’s World Cup squad, and he made a total of three appearances in Brazil, even starting the final against Argentina. The midfielder, however, suffered a concussion just after the half hour mark and he later confessed that he couldn’t remember anything from the most important game in his career. Kramer remained a member of the Germany national team, making three appearances in the Euro 2016 qualifiers, and there is plenty of time for him to represent the country at another major tournament, playing a more important role than the one he had at the 2014 World Cup.
