Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Zurich failed to make life difficult for Villarreal in their Europa League opener. The Swiss team suffered a 2-1 loss to the Yellow Submarine at Camp el Madrigal, but they are certainly capable of picking up all three points from Thursday’s football game against Osmanlispor. Zurich have been impressive at their Stadion Letzigrund and they emerged triumphant in each of their last five home games in the national championship. Osmanlispor did remarkably well to beat Steaua in the opening match of their Europa League campaign, but beating Zurich on the road is easier said than done. Mustafa Resit’s men defeated the likes of Nomme Kalju and Midtjylland in previous two away games in the Europa League, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Thursday’s clash against the Swiss team. Taking everything into account, Zurich are likely to extend their winning run at home ground.
Highlighted Team (Osmanlispor):
Osmanlispor are one of several Turkish clubs based in the country’s capital Ankara. The capital club was founded in 1978 as Ankara Belediye Spor Kulubu and the club’s current name refers to the Ottoman emperor Osman I. Osmanlispor finished the 2015/2016 Turkish Super Lig season in 5th place in the standings and, as a result, they booked their place in the Europa League qualifiers. By beating the likes of Zimbru, Nomme Kalju and Midtjylland the Turkish outfit made it to the group stages of the European competition for the first time ever. Osmanlispor’s home coloures are white and blue, while they play their away games in yellow shirts and blue shorts. Osmanli Stadyumu is the home ground of the team, the venue which was opened in 1974. In 2008 the stadium was renovated and it currently holds 19 626 people. The likes of Genclerbirligi, Ankaragucu and Etimesgut Sekerspor are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals. The club’s nickname is the Ottomans (Osmanlilar).
