Our football match prediction:
Liepaja will be aiming to overcome a two-goal deficit in the Europa League tie against Crusaders when the two teams face each other at Stadion Daugava on Thursday evening. The Latvians sit in third place in the national championship at the moment and the fact that they defeated the likes of Jelgava and Ventspils in previous two home games in the league is giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Thursday’s football match. Crusaders, on the other hand, did well to beat Liepaja 3-1 in the first leg of the Europa League first qualifying round, but defending the lead in Latvia is easier said than done. As previously mentioned, Liepaja are tough to beat at home and we predict that they will emerge triumphant in the return leg. Arturs Karasausks scored in the 3-1 loss to the Northern Ireland team, meaning that the opposition back-line should have the 25-year-old attacker at bay.
