Our football match prediction:
Vitoria Guimaraes did remarkably well to reach the Portuguese Cup final last season, but Benfica proved to be a big catch for Os Vimaranenses in the title game. Anyhow, Guimaraes booked their place in the Europa League and they are definitely capable of matching the likes of Salzburg, Marseille and Konyaspor when playing at home ground. However, seeing that the Portuguese side are on a three-match losing run in the Europa League and considering that they were hammered by Sporting CP (0-5) in the national championship last month, we are not tempted to put our money on the hosts. Salzburg once again failed to qualify for the Champions League group stages, but they have big ambitions for the 2017/2018 Europa League campaign as well and we predict that the Austrian side are going to return home with three points in their pocket. You should know that the Red Bulls are eyeing their fourth consecutive win in the competition.
Highligted Player (Paolo Hurtado):
Paolo Hurtado is a Peru international who plays for Vitoria Guimaraes in Primeira Liga. Hurtado was born on July 27, 1990 in Callao, Peru and he is a product of Alianza Lima football school. The pacey winger, who is capable of playing as a centre-forward as well, continued playing for Allianza Lima at senior level and it has to be noted that he scored 14 goals in 83 appearances in the league for los Blanquiazules. After playing 21 games on loan at Juan Aurich, Paolo Hurtado moved to Portugal, signing a deal with Pacos Fereira. The Peruvian attacker quickly established himself as the team’s key player and he played for the club from 2012 to 2015. In 2015 he decided to take his career to the next level as he joined Championship side Reading. However, after failing to adapt to the new surroundings, Paolo Hurtado returned to Portugal and signed a loan deal with Vitoria Guimaraes. On July 20, 2017 the Peruvian footballer joined the Primeira Liga side permanently.
