Our football match prediction:
Krasnodar could not have wished for a better start to their Europa League campaign. The Russian outfit defeated Salzburg at Red Bull Arena in their opener, with Brazilian midfielder Joaozinho scoring the winner in the first half of the match. Krasnodar welcome Nice at their Stadion Kuban in their second group game and seeing that les Aiglons are not regarded as good travellers, we predict that the hosts are going to pick up all three points from Thursday’s football match. Nice were beaten by Schalke at their Allianz Riviera and they are unlikely to spoil Krasnodar’s party at Stadion Kuban on Thursday evening. Igor Shalimov’s charges proved their worth in a 1-1 draw with CSKA Moscow at the weekend and it is no surprise they are regarded as hot favourites to emerge triumphant in the upcoming Europa League clash. Former Spartak Moscow striker Ari is likely to lead the line for the hosts against Nice.
Highlighted Player (Balotelli):
Mario Balotelli is a controversial footballer who played for both Inter and Milan in the past. The Italian attacker, who was born on 12 August, 1990, started his senior career at Lumezzane and in 2007 he signed a contract with the Nerazzurri. After scoring 20 goals in 59 league appearances with Inter, he moved to Manchester City in 2010. Super Mario spent three seasons at the Etihad Stadium and he returned to Serie A in 2013, signing a deal with Inter’s fiercest rivals Milan this time out. Balotelli scored 26 goals in 43 league games with the Rossoneri, but in the summer of 2014 he signed for Liverpool for a fee of £16 million. The Italian attacker is well known for his powerful shoot, but he often struggles to control his volatile temper. Super Mario impressed at the 2012 European Championship finals and he helped Italy make it to the final of the tournament. However, Spain proved to be a big catch for the Azzurri in the title game.
Highlighted Team (OGC Nice):
Nice are a football club that participate in French Ligue 1. Les Aiglons welcome their opponents at Allianz Riviera and the club was founded on 9 July, 1904 by Marquis Massengy d’ Auzac. Nice won their first Ligue 1 trophy back in 1951 and eight years later they clinched their fourth and last domestic title. Speaking of the French Cup, les Aiglons won their third Coupe de France title in 1997. Allianz Riviera has been the home ground of the club since September, 2013 and it has to be noted that the construction of the venue cost €250 million. Nice play their home games in red and black shirts and black shorts, while the colour of their away kits is white. The Ligue 1 team booked their place in the Europa League group stages for the 2016/2017 season for the first time in the club’s history and they were drawn alongside Schalke 04, Salzburg and Krasnodar in Group I. However, they were beaten by Schalke in their Europa League opener in front of home fans.
