Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Oympiakos Piraeus will be looking to kick off their Europa League campaign in great manner when they host Luzern at their Stadio Georgios Karaiskaki on Thursday evening. The Thrylos are seen as favourites to make it to the Europa League play-off, but the Swiss side should not be written of just yet. Olympiakos were anything but impressive in pre-season, but the fact that they managed to keep a clean sheet in previous two warm-up games is giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Thursday’s football match. The Thrylos often produce much better performances at home than on the travels, but we do not believe that they are going to roll over Luzern as they have yet to find their best form. Anyhow, seeing that Rene Weiler’s troops did not kick off their new Swiss Super League campaign in style, home win should be considered.
Highlighted Player (Kevin Mirallas):

Kevin Mirallas is a Belgian footballer player born on 5th October 1987, who started showing his potential at a very young age. After coming through the youth ranks at Standard Liege, the forward moved to Lille in 2004 and he impressed playing for les Dogues, scoring 10 goals in 76 league appearances.
The move to Saint Etienne did not work out as planned, but a two-year stint at Olympiakos that followed helped the player get his career back on track. Having scored 34 goals in 52 league outings, Mirallas decided to join Everton and he enjoyed a bright start to his career in England. However, just like the entire team, the highly rated footballer suffered a serious dip in form and he has struggled for playing time over the last couple of years.
Mirallas has made over 50 appearances for the Belgium national team, representing the Red Devils at the 2014 World Cup and Eur0 2016 finals, scoring 9 goals in first 50 caps.
Highlighted Team (Olympiakos):

Olympiakos are regarded as one of the biggest club in Greece. The Thrylos were founded back in 1925 and they play their home games at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus. The capacity of the stadium is 33 296. In 2016 Olympiakos won their 43rd Greek Superleague trophy and it has to be noted that they clinched their sixth consecutive domestic title.
However, the club’s biggest success came in 1999 as they participated in the Champions League quarter-finals. The Red and whites were beaten by Juventus in the two-legged tie. It is well known that Panathinaikos are considered the club’s bitterest rivals and the two teams share a great and long-standing rivalry.
The likes of AEK and PAOK are regarded as Olympiakos’ fierce opponents as well. The likes of Javier Saviola, Kevin Mirallas, Darko Kovacevic, Lomana LuaLua, Joel Campbell, Rivaldo and Marko Pantelic are notable footballers who played for the club in the past. Olympiakos fans are friends with Red Star Belgrade supporters.
