Our football match prediction:
PAOK will be looking to build on a thrilling 4-1 win over BATE Borisov when they host Vidi at their Stadio Toumbas on Thursday evening. The Greek side want to move one step closer to booking their place in the Europa League knockout stages and we predict that they are going to fight tooth and nail against Vidi. The Hungarian side, on the other hand, have been struggling in the Europa League group stages and seeing that they have yet to find the net in the process, we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling PAOK’s party in Thessaloniki. A man to watch in the home side will be Brazilian winger Leo Jaba, who scored a brace against BATE, but Serbian striker Aleksandar Prijovic is likely to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders as well.
Highlighted Player (Omar El Kaddouri):
Omar El Kaddouri is a Moroccan footballer born in Brussels, Belgium on August 21, 1990. El Kaddouri was an Anderlecht player at the start of his senior career, but he did not see any game action for the Belgian side in the Jupiler League. The 187-cm tall midfielder played for Brescia, Suditrol, Napoli, Torino and Empoli before signing a four-year deal with PAOK on August 24, 2017. The Morocco international won the Greek Cup with the black and whites, with the team beating AEK Athens in the title game. Omar El Kaddouri scored his first goal for the Greek side in a 3-1 victory over Panionios in April, 2018. On the other hand, the PAOK midfielder made his Morocco debut in August, 2014 in a friendly against Burkina Faso. He opened his goal-scoring account with the Morocco national team on May 23, 2014 in a 4-0 victory over Mozambique. His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well.
Highlighted Team (MOL Vidi):
Founded during the World War II (1941), MOL Vidi are a Hungarian football club who play their home games at Sostoi Stadion. The capacity of the venue is 14,201 and MOL Vidi will play Europa League games on the stadium in the 2018/2019 Europa League season. The Hungarian side were producing thrilling displays under Marko Nikolic in the Champions League qualifiers, but they eventually failed to book their place in the group stages of the elite competition for the first time ever. It has to be noted that the club changed its name from Videoton to MOL Vidi in 2018. MOL Vidi won the national championship in the 2017/2018 season, with the team clinching their third domestic trophy. Speaking of the club’s European success, MOL Vidi did well to make it to the UEFA Cup final in the 1984/1985 season, but star-studded Real Madrid eventually proved to be a big catch for the Hungarians. Los Blancos defeated Videoton 3-1 in the title game.
