Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Qarabag and Dudelange, the two teams who failed to book their place in the Europa League last 32, face each other in Baku in their last group game. Since Qarabag are fully focused on the national championship, we do not believe that manager Qurban Qurbanov is going to field the best possible side against Dudelange. Anyhow, we predict that the hosts are going to pick up all three points from Thursday’s football match as they rolled over Dudelange 4-1 on the road earlier in the process.
The Luxembourg champions have been struggling to find their best form of late, and we are positive that they are going to return home empty-handed from the trip to Azerbaijan. Qarabag are more of a team than Dudelange, and we do not believe that the underdogs are capable of spoiling the Azeri’s party in Baku.
Highlighted Player (Richard):
Richard is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder at Qarabag of Azerbaijan. Richard Almeida de Oliveira was born on March 20, 1989 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and he started his senior career at Santo Andre. After making only four appearances in the league for the Brazilian club, he signed a loan deal with Portuguese side Gil Vicente.
In 2012 he moved to Azerbaijan, signing a contract with Qarabag and he has been playing for the Atilar ever since. Richard impressed in his debut season with the club as he scored 13 goals in 30 appearances in the national championship for Qarabag. The 177-cm tall player made his Azerbaijan debut on June 10, 2017 in a 1-0 loss to Northern Ireland.
His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both attacking midfielder and a left winger as well. It has to be noted that Richard’s contract with Qarabag should expire on June 30, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Dudelange):
F91 Dudelange are the most famous Luxembourg club. Dudelange play their home games at Stade Jos Nosbaum stadium, which can hold no more than 2,558 spectators. Dudelange clinched their 14th trophy in the national championship in the 2017/2018 season, with the team finishing the campaign five points clear of Progres Niederkorn.
As a result, the Luxembourg champions booked their place in the Champions League qualifiers, but they failed to make it to the group stages of the elite competition as they were beaten by MOL Vidi of Hungaria in the two-legged tie. However, F91 Dudelange were producing thrilling displays in the Europa League qualifiers and, as a result, they make it to the group stages of the competition where they will face the likes of Milan, Real Betis and Olympiakos Piraeus.
The Luxembourg side wear sky blue and black shirts and black shorts when playing at home, whilst they away colours are yellow and black.
