Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Eintracht Frankfurt will be looking to defend their three-goal lead in the Europa League tie against Salzburg when the two teams face each other at Red Bull Arena on Thursday. Die Adler’s blitzkrieg in the first leg helped the Bundesliga side move one step closer to making it to the last 16, but they can’t afford any complacency in the return leg. A man to watch in the away team will be Serbia international Filip Kostic, who has been in a splendid form in the second half of the season.
The Red Bulls, on the other hand, continue life without Erling Haland, who joined Borussia Dortmund in January. The Austrian champions have no other choice but to go all guns blazing at Eintracht Frankfurt, but the lack of confidence should be a big problem for the hosts. A close encounter is on the cards at Red Bull Arena, and we are tempted to put our money on draw.
Highlighted Player (Hee-Chan Hwang):
Hwang Hee-Chan is a product of Pohang Steelers football academy. The Korean attacker, who was born in Chuncheon on January 26, 1996, started his senior career at FC Liefering of Austria and he scored 13 goals in 31 appearances for the club. Hwang Hee-Chan won his second Austrian Bundesliga title with Salzburg in the 2016/2017 season, but the Red Bulls eventually failed to make it to the Champions League group stages. The Salzburg footballer made his South Korea debut in a 2-0 win over Canada on November 11, 2016.
Hee-Chan played regularly for the Korea national football team in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and he scored one goal in the process. The Koreans eventually booked their place at the showpiece tournament in Russia, meaning that the Salzburg attacker will have a chance to prove his worth on the big stage.
