Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Slavia Prague will be looking to extend their winning run in Group C to four games when they host Hapoel Beer Sheva at their Sinobo Stadium. The Czechs are one point away from securing their spot in the Europa League last 32, but they want to finish the process in top position as well. Slavia Prague are a real force to be reckoned with at home, but they can’t afford any complacency in Thursday’s football game.
Hapoel, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen, and given their shaky defence, we are positive that the Czech champions are going to pick up all three points from the match. David Hovorka is likely to miss the game with injury for the hosts, while Bitton and Vitor are unlikely to feature for the visitors.
Highlighted Player (Ondrej Kolar ):
Born in Liberec, Czech Republic on October 17, 1994, Ondrej Kolar is a towering goalkeeper who plays for Slavia Prague. Kolar started his youth career at his hometown club Liberec, and he continued playing for the White-Blues at senior level.
After making 30 league appearances for the club, he move to Slavia Prague in 2018. It has to be noted that he played for Varnsdorf on loan as well during his spell with Liberec. The Czech shot-stopper has established himself as a first-team regular at Slavia Prague where he became the most expensive goalkeeper in the Czech First League history.
Speaking of his international career, the 193-cm-tall goalkeeper made his debut for the national team on November 17, 2019 in the Euro 2020 qualifying match against Bulgaria. His preferred foot is right, and he wears the No. 1 jersey at Slavia Prague. His contract with the capital club should expire in June 2022.
Highlighted Team (Hapoel Beer Sheva):
Hapoel Be'er Sheva are an Israeli football club based in Beersheba. The club was founded in 1949 and they play their home games at Turner Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 16 126 and it was opened in September, 2015.
Hapoel wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil and they play in blue shirts and black shorts on the travels. The club played their first game against Mefalsim and they defeated their opponents 5-4. Back then no more than five teams competed in the Israeli league and it has to be noted that the likes of Hapoel Rishon LeZion, Hapoel Kfar Saba and Hapoel Ramat Gan were other teams that participated in the league.
In 1975 Hapoel Be’er Sheva won their first Israeli Premier League trophy, with the team finishing the season three points clear of Maccabi Netanya. In the 2015/2016 season they won their third domestic trophy, leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv three points clear of them in the standings. Shalon Avitan is one of the most notable footballers who played for the club.
