Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Arena Nationala will host Thursday’s football match between Steaua Bucharest and Hapoel Be’er Sheva. Steaua have been scoring goals for fun in all competitions this season and they have been impressive in the group stages of the Europa League. The Romanian side sit in top position in Group G and a win over Hapoel would see them keep their 100% record in the process intact. Harlem-Eddy Gnohere has been in a fine form this season and the French attacker is likely to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders. Hapoel Be’er Sheva are tough to beat at home, but seeing that their away record in the Europa League is anything but good, we predict that the hosts will emerge triumphant in Thursday’s clash. You should bear in mind that the Israeli club suffered a 3-1 loss to Plzen in their first away game in Group G.
Highlighted Player (Denis Alibec):
After starting his senior career at Farul Constanta, Denis Alibec joined Italian giants Inter in 2009, but he failed to establish himself as a first-team regular at the Serie A club. The Romanian attacker made no more than two appearances for the Nerazzurri in the Italian top flight and he was hungry for a first-team football. As a result, he signed a loan deal with Mechelen in 2011 and he spent the 2012/2013 season at Viitorul Constanta. Denis Alibec played one match for Bologna on loan as well and in 2014 he signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Astra Giurgiu. Alibec scored 32 goals in 64 appearances for the club before joining Steaua Bucharest in 2017. He has been playing for the Stelistii ever since and it has to be noted that he scored eight goals for the Romanian outfit in the 2016/2017 Liga 1 campaign. Denis Alibec made his debut for the Romania national football team on October 11, 2015 in an Euro 2016 qualifier against Faroe Islands.
Highlighted Team (Hapoel Beer Sheva):
Hapoel Be’er Sheva are an Israeli football club based in Beersheba. The club was founded in 1949 and they play their home games at Turner Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 16 126 and it was opened in September, 2015. Hapoel wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil and they play in blue shirts and black shorts on the travels. The club played their first game against Mefalsim and they defeated their opponents 5-4. Back then no more than five teams competed in the Israeli league and it has to be noted that the likes of Hapoel Rishon LeZion, Hapoel Kfar Saba and Hapoel Ramat Gan were other teams that participated in the league. In 1975 Hapoel Be’er Sheva won their first Israeli Premier League trophy, with the team finishing the season three points clear of Maccabi Netanya. In the 2015/2016 season they won their third domestic trophy, leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv three points clear of them in the standings. Shalon Avitan is one of the most notable footballers who played for the club.
