Our football match prediction:
Doosan Arena will host Thursday’s football game between Viktoria Plzen and Hapoel Be’er Sheva. Viktoria Plzen have been impressive at home ground in the national championship so far this season and they sit in top position in the Czech Liga standings ahead of the visit of Hapoel. The Czech side, though, suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Steaua in their Europa League opener and, no doubt, they are desperate to grab something from the game against the Israeli outfit. A man to watch in the home team will be Michal Krcemenik, who has netted six goals in all competitions to date. Hapoel Be’er Sheva, on the other hand, did well to beat Lugano at home in their first group game, but seeing that VIktoria Plzen are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we predict that the two teams are going to share the spoils at Doosan Arena.
Highlighted Player (Patrik Hrosovsky):
Born in Prievidza, Czechoslovakia, Patrik Hrosovsky is a midfielder who plays for Viktoria Plzen. Patrik Hrosovsky started his youth career at his hometown club Prievidza and he played for the youth team of Trencin as well before joining Viktoria Plzen. The Slovakian footballer has been playing for the Viktorka ever since, but it has to be noted that he played for the likes of Sokolov, Usti nad Labem and Znojmo on loan as well. Patrik Hrosovsky made his Slovakia debut on November 19, 2014 in a friendly game against Finland. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both defensive midfielder and attacking midfielder as well. Hrosovsky has yet to find the net with the Slovakia national football team, but he found the net for the U21 team in a 7-1 win over Luxembourg at the 2015 European Championship. He has a contract with Viktoria Plzen which expires on June 30, 2019.
Highlighted Team (Hapoel Beer Sheva):
Hapoel Be’er Sheva are an Israeli football club based in Beersheba. The club was founded in 1949 and they play their home games at Turner Stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 16 126 and it was opened in September, 2015. Hapoel wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil and they play in blue shirts and black shorts on the travels. The club played their first game against Mefalsim and they defeated their opponents 5-4. Back then no more than five teams competed in the Israeli league and it has to be noted that the likes of Hapoel Rishon LeZion, Hapoel Kfar Saba and Hapoel Ramat Gan were other teams that participated in the league. In 1975 Hapoel Be’er Sheva won their first Israeli Premier League trophy, with the team finishing the season three points clear of Maccabi Netanya. In the 2015/2016 season they won their third domestic trophy, leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv three points clear of them in the standings.
